oh-my-zsh colored-man

If you’re using zsh and oh-my-zsh, there is a plugin to colorize the man page. In your .zshrc file, add colored-man to the plugin list:

plugins=(git rails ruby colored-man)

You can see the colored version vs the normal man page.
